STEAM Studio Camp
Ages: 7 - 13
Monday through Friday; 9am-3pm
All art materials are included.
STEAM Studio Camp is a week-long program that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through the lens of visual art. Designed for curious and creative students, the camp emphasizes structured art instruction while introducing hands-on problem-solving across disciplines.
Students apply art principles to STEAM-based projects that connect artistic thinking with simple engineering challenges, material experiments, and design processes. Activities may include building small structures, exploring patterns and symmetry, studying natural forms, and experimenting with mixed media.
Art remains central to the program. Painting, sculpture, and drawing projects reinforce core principles such as balance, form, color relationships, and construction. Students learn how careful planning and visual organization support both artistic and scientific thinking.

Emphasis will be placed on observation, paint handling, edge control, and maintaining unity throughout the painting process.
Due to the workshop's condensed format, students will complete a series of focused studies designed to strengthen technical skills and improve decision-making at the easel. The workshop meets Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and is appropriate for intermediate to advanced painters seeking to deepen their understanding of traditional still life painting methods.
