Join nationally recognized painter Andrew Sjodin for a three-day workshop focused on the fundamentals of alla prima portrait painting and drawing. The first session will feature a demonstration and discussion covering palette organization, color relationships, drawing, proportion, gesture, and value structure. During the remaining sessions, students will work from a live model, completing sustained portrait studies in a single sitting while receiving individualized instruction and critique.

Designed for artists of all experience levels, this workshop provides a practical introduction to direct observation and efficient methods for creating a convincing portrait from life.
